Teaching, Research, and Service Interests:

In my role on campus, I contribute to inclusive teaching; advancing foundational interdisciplinary knowledge about urgent environmental challenges and solutions; building community in and outside of the classroom; promoting experiential learning, service learning opportunities, and engaged scholarship; supporting students in identifying and reaching their goals; and, introducing students to environmental practitioners and professional opportunities. I enjoy working on research projects with my students, and working with the University community on shared efforts to support equity and inclusion in policymaking processes and to foster sustainable and healthy landscapes.
Broadly, my interdisciplinary scholarship focuses on applied questions of climate change, environmental justice, and policy and governance. More specifically, I collaborate with others to anticipate the future of international climate and environmental cooperation, and to understand how the structure and design of international agreements and policy processes can support climate and environmental outcomes rooted in science, equity, and stakeholders’ own aims. I have previously worked on international and transboundary solutions to address climate impacts on food systems, marine ecosystems, and in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
